’t have to dump your items into the airplane seat pocket, I have already been surprised at how many travel problems Mitchell’s brand has been able to solve.
For my first Beis Travel purchase, I decided to go with the Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case. I need a new make-up bag anyway, so it seemed like a great purchase. I bought the Beige case for $38. This bag is a great carry-on size, fitting snugly in my suitcase.
Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case Features
This clear make-up bag has two zippered sections. one labeled “We’re Here” and the other labeled “Let’s Go”. The We’re Here section has a Beis mirror with a slot to keep it in place. According to the Beis Travel website, you can keep items needed for your flight or touch-ups in one section, and then your toiletries for your hotel in the other section.
Both sections have a clear window so that you can easily see what is inside. While the Beis mirror will block your view, you can still get a glimpse to remind you where your items are.
This make-up bag comes in beige or black. There is also a handle on the back, which makes this bag easy to grab out of your suitcase or backpack. This bag is sturdy, easy to clean, and the Beis details on the zippers and handle add to the quality.
How big is the Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case?
The carry-on cosmetic case is 8″W x 3″H x 6″D. I am not sure what I expected, but I did find the bag smaller than I expected. The entire case is about the size of my TSA-approved clear zippered case.
Below, you can see a few photos for comparison to a room key card. Laying flat, the case is about as tall as a card. This is a great size for fitting in my suitcase.
How I Pack My Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case
I really like having two separate compartments in my cosmetic case. On one half, I will pack the majority of my toiletries: my shower supplies, along with skincare bottles. On the other half, I will pack ad-hoc items like my toothbrush and toothpaste, liquid make-up, cotton balls and face masks.
Issues with the Carry-on Cosmetic Case
I have taken my Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case on many domestic trips in the United States, and have never had a problem with airport security when packing this bag in my carry-on. I have TSA Pre-check, and I have been able to leave my liquids in this case with no issues at all.
However, I did travel internationally to South America, and while checking into my flight the airport attendant did get upset that my liquids were not in a zip lock plastic bag. I was required to remove my liquids, and I did end up having to throw a few items away. If you decide to carry-on this bag internationally, be cautious of how you are packing your toiletries.
Other than being smaller than expected, I am really happy with the Beis Carry-on Cosmetic Case. It is pricier than basic cases you can purchase on Amazon, but since I travel so much I feel like my cosmetic case is a worthwhile investment. I can definitely see myself purchasing more Beis products in the future.
